GRANDPA ŞEKER AND HIS FRIENDS
2.
Once upon a time,
my grandpa had so many corns.
Mice rattled.
Then they jumped into the storehouse.
Right here our tale started.
3.
There was an ordinary day in Güvercin (dove) village. Thesun was blowing its warm breath to the green and bushy treessuavely as always.
4.
Grandpa Şeker got down to work to place corncobs. DonkeyPehlivan supported him the most. Cat Minnoş was busy withcatching Mouse Ponçik who is naughty.
5.
The biggest dream of Grandpa Şeker was to have a seconddonkey because Grandpa Şeker would hand out the cornflourto the poor filling with a lot of cornflour inside the storehouseafter planting the bigger corn fields with the help of a seconddonkey.
6.
Minnoş who was aware of Grandpa Şeker’s idea had talked tothe other animals. Then, they went to Badem who was a wilddonkey and living alone in the forest all together to persuadehim about living with the other animals after having made a decision
7.
Badem liked the idea a lot and came to the farm with the otheranimals because he loves helping. Badem started to live hereas well.
8.
The other day, Grandpa Şeker saw Badem and he was sohappy. He took both donkeys to the field immediately. Badem was a pretty free spirited donkey as much as he was helpful.
9.
A few days later, Badem got boring and decided to run away. After sun set, Grandpa Şeker woke up because of noise, andlooked through window. Then, he went out fast and tookBadem to the barn catching him.
10.
He closed the door as soon as Badem stepped into the barn.Grandpa Şeker did not let him go whereas Badem wanted tobe free. When sun rose, Grandpa Şeker took them to the cornfield.
11.
Badem ran away into the deepness of forest gnawing the rope. Grandpa Şeker understood the fact Badem is wild, and he wawed to Badem.
12.
AND THEN THEY STARTED TO SING THEIR SONG
Granpa Şeker, Granpa Şeker where are your corncobs?
My corncobs are at home of poor, becoming flour.
Lay lay lay!
Your corncobs are in a good place.
Corncobs turned bread, becoming flour.
They stepped into the poor’s house,
Made them happy.
Our pretty Grandpa Şeker became a friend of the poor.
He regained Badem and promised not to make him tired.
They became happy all together and lived freely.
Lay lay lay!
